ASFP ANZ Foundation Course In Passive Fire Protection - Level 2
This Internationally recognised intermediate-level training course lays the groundwork for understanding fire safety, fire science in passive fire protection, upon completion, students can progress to sitting the IFE Level 2 Certificate in Passive Fire Protection Qualification.
Available either as a classroom course, a tutor/teams course or online self-pace course.
The course is broken into foundational fire safety, fire science in passive fire protection across four different industry sectors.
Candidates will have to sit all four awards to gain the full IFE Level 2 Certificate:
- Award 1: Fire protection for the structural frame, fire retardant coating
- Award 2: Fire-resisting walls, floors, ceilings, and fire-resistant glazing
- Award 3: Fire stopping, penetration seals, cavity barriers, ductwork and dampers, and the building envelope
- Award 4: Fire-resisting doors, industrial shutters, and hardware
This Intermediate competency course target Installers and applicants who wish to develop a foundation knowledge in passive fire protection.
Successfully completing ASFP ANZ Courses will contribute to your Industry Competency Registration.

ASFP ANZ Foundation Course in Passive Fire Protection - Level 3 (ANZ Level 4)
This Internationally recognised advanced course covers fire safety, fire science, and passive fire protection systems. It prepares participants for the IFE Level 3 certificate in passive fire protection examination. Obtaining this certificate allows learners to apply for Technician-level membership with the IFE, gaining professional recognition globally as TIFireE.
